An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivatedBusiness Intelligence Analystto contribute to strategic decision-making and continuous improvement within a large and complex organisation.


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality analytical insights to support performance, demand management, and organisational change. This role requires a strong understanding of advanced analytical methods, including statistical analysis, data modelling, and business intelligence technologies.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing interactive dashboards and business intelligence applications that translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Supporting the evaluation of business change initiatives through the extraction, manipulation, and interrogation of data.
  • Applying predictive modelling, operational research, and other advanced techniques to inform strategic direction.
  • Advising stakeholders at all levels on data-led solutions that enable effective decision-making.
  • Identifying emerging trends in analytics and supporting the professional development of colleagues in the field.
  • Engaging with internal and external analytical communities to enhance best practices and support research-led improvements.

Essential criteria:

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable expertise in statistical analysis, business intelligence, and the development of dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in business intelligence or a relevant specialism.
  • Understanding of public sector operations or experience in a comparable environment.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics and programming languages relevant to data science.
