We are seeking a Business Intelligence professional to join our team based in Ipswich. The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Group Business Intelligence Manager within the finance team. We provide a wide range of services including Fleet, Cleaning, Catering, Facilities Management, Architectural Consultancy and Recruitment to name a few. The role will be part of the Business Intelligence team and will work with the business to produce information that will help make decisions to enhance operational efficiency. You will work with the operations/management team to gather requirements and ultimately produce reports/metrics based on them.

You will have proven experience in managing and developing relationships with teams both internally and externally. You will also have technical expertise in developing reporting using business intelligence platforms (PowerBI).

Duties of this role will include;

  • Support the BI Manager to perform routine tasks and ad-hoc reporting requirements
  • Help develop metrics using various platforms including Power BI.
  • Ensure accuracy of reports being produced
  • Support with the development of training materials to ensure end users can access metrics / reports
  • Work with operations team to identify process improvements
  • Support in the preparation and presentation of papers to the senior management team
  • Identify risks and support with mitigation strategies
  • Provide support on contract mobilisations/demobilisations
  • Support with the development and help streamline existing processes
  • Support in the development Power BI reporting tools with help from an in-house developer
  • Agree, calculate and report KPIs for each service within the division
  • Continuous improvement
  • Work at all levels across the group supporting operational services and the wider finance team
  • Ensure data and information is available on a timely basis
  • Work flexibly to support delivery across the service
  • Create a positive and professional impression of the group
  • Deal with all contacts professionally and efficiently

Desired skills required for this position include;

  • Power BI and Power Platform knowledge
  • Experience using SQL
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
  • Awareness of confidentiality and data protection requirements
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A team player that can work across the group
  • Live within a commutable distance of Ipswich, Suffolk.

This is a full time, permanent position based out of Ipswich, close to the Town Centre. Initially this will be full time on site but could progress to a hybrid-working model. The salary is competitive and comes with an extensive range of benefits.
