Business Data Analyst Specialist (Transport)
With over 50 years’ experience in the logistics industry McCulla Ireland are one of the country’s leading providers of ambient, chilled and frozen logistics solutions throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe.
We currently have Operating Centres across Northern Ireland and Ireland, with further plans for expansion. McCulla has over 300 employees working across our Transport, Warehousing, Customs and Green Bioenergy Operations. There is an ever-growing modern fleet consisting of over 120 vehicles and 200 trailers operating our just in time service with environmental sustainability at the forefront of everything we do and making us unique in the market for our customers.
The Person:
As our Business Data Analyst Specialist you will play a pivotal role in driving our digital journey across the Transport Operations of McCulla Ireland Limited. You will be responsible for developing and implementing digital strategies to enhance our operations, improve customer experiences and drive business improvements through actionable metrics.
You will be comfortable providing advice to business stakeholders and the senior leadership team on fit for purpose data led business solutions relevant to the supply chain and transport environment.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities:
You will work on business-critical improvement projects throughout our Transport & Logistics Operations.
You will leverage data analytics and manipulation for informed decision making and identifying opportunities for optimisation and to drive the business forward.
Working on, and further implementation of our transport operating systems (Microlise & Mandata) by developing them through to full potential, leading change, improving efficiencies and focusing on sustainability and waste reduction.
You will need to build credible relationships that allow you to influence change. You must be able to work “hands on” in identifying, critiquing and delivering on areas of improvement across all aspects of the transport operation.
Reviewing routes, services, and planning; recommending how we can optimise our network.
Building relationships with our customers, to understand their needs, help to streamline our operations and reduce our impact on the environment.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field is beneficial but not essential if relevant experience and skills can be demonstrated with the transport & logistics industry.
Proven experience in digital transformation or project management within a fast-moving similar industry.
A strong understand of digital technologies, trends and data analytics.
Proficiency with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
Excellent problem-solving & analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
A passion for innovation and a drive to deliver exceptional results.
Terms:
Full Time Permanent Role.
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 DOE.
Additional Annual Leave (Service Based).
