We do what we say!
That’s why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises. People who enjoy getting things done.

Are you an ambitious Data Analyst looking to take the next step in your career?

We have excellent opportunity for someone ideally from a utilities or construction background to join our growing team and contribute to our Affinity Water contract. You will support the production and interpretation of data and information—spotting trends, uncovering discrepancies, and helping shape our commercial strategy

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…

Analysis and collation of data from various management information sources

Producing reports on a regular basis to inform commercial decision-making and aid continuous improvement, in line with Clancy standards
Using data analytics to perform detailed root cause analysis on trends and identify actions required by liaising with various functions across the business and interrogating information available on systems
Analysing data to show key themes, trends and highlight risks to the business
Sharing best practice and standards with colleagues and stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive consistency
Analysing performance metrics and understanding trends, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders, using a data-driven approach

We would love to hear from you if…

You are proactive, have a positive, can-do attitude, and a strong analytical mindset. You enjoy problem-solving and can confidently interpret and translate data into clear, meaningful insights that support strategic decisions.

You will have well-developed analytical and research skills, with experience in producing accurate, relevant information and presenting findings in a way that engages stakeholders at all levels. Strong organisational skills are important, as is the ability to work to multiple deadlines.

Advanced Excel skills are essential, and experience of creating dashboards using tools such as Power BI will be a real advantage. A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred, along with commercial awareness and a good understanding of the full project lifecycle and information management systems.

Strong communication skills are key—you’ll be able to tailor your approach to suit different audiences and ensure outcomes are understood across the business.

Our Company

Every day we work smarter, greener and use our imaginations.

What Next

You apply, and we respond within two weeks (we know how annoying it is not to hear anything back)! If you don’t receive feedback within that timescale, please don’t be afraid to chase us - one of our values is to do what we say we will do!

Benefits

In addition to helping you reach your career goals, a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 24-26 days per annum, we also offer perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.

Pre-Employment Checks for Data Science Jobs: DBS, References & Right-to-Work and more Explained

Pre-employment screening in data science reflects the discipline's unique position at the intersection of statistical analysis, machine learning innovation, and strategic business intelligence. Data scientists often have privileged access to comprehensive datasets, proprietary algorithms, and business-critical insights that form the foundation of organisational strategy and competitive positioning. The data science industry operates within complex regulatory frameworks spanning GDPR, sector-specific data protection requirements, and emerging AI governance regulations. Data scientists must demonstrate not only technical competence in statistical modelling and machine learning but also deep understanding of research ethics, data privacy principles, and the societal implications of algorithmic decision-making. Modern data science roles frequently involve analysing personally identifiable information, financial data, healthcare records, and sensitive business intelligence across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks simultaneously. The combination of analytical privilege, predictive capabilities, and strategic influence makes thorough candidate verification essential for maintaining compliance, security, and public trust in data-driven insights and automated systems.
