The role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be an instrumental part in making the business work as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Day to day, you’ll ensure data can be utilised to provide actionable insights for operational needs and evidence-based decision support. You will be responsible for capturing requirements to understand business problems and how they can be applied in Foundry to help our business and customers make better use of their data to improve service. You’ll also:
• Work with business and insight team analysts to understand the critical questions they need to answer and identify their biggest problems
• Working with Data Engineers to ensure that relevant pipelines are established
• Collaborate with Technical and non-technical subject matter experts (SMEs) through design and build cycles
• Be able to document and demonstrate our products to a range of audiences including technical and non-technical SME’s
• Lead training sessions to ensure that the product is meeting user requirements
• Support our business and customer in process and strategy change
This role full time and will be based at Andover on site with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Business Analyst:
• Experience in a relevant field such as: Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Scientist, Software Developer etc
• Experience with programming, scripting or statistical packages (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, SQL)
• Be confident and capable to work in the customer environment, across teams and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective organisation and time management skills
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, through prioritising work and managing deadlines
• Experience working with Palantir Foundry or equivalent Foundry Amplify Certificate is desirable but not essential
Qualifications for the Business Analyst:
• Degree in relevant field (e.g. data management, information systems, computer science, mathematics, engineering) is desirable but not essential
