We're looking for a Build Planner to join an established team at one of the UK's leading OEM's based in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands.

You'll be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of business processes for the build planning operations, resource and capacity planning for all programmes. You’ll also help in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects.

This hands-on role, based primarily onsite (with one remote day per week post-training), is focused on planning and coordinating Electrical Drive Unit build schedules across multiple programmes. You’ll take ownership of kit readiness tracking, manage build data through internal systems such as Wrike, and work closely with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to resolve part shortages and ensure build flow. Using tools like GPIRS, you'll support parts investigations, track rework, and help drive continuous improvements aligned with programme goals.

Please Note: All candidates must possess valid right to work in the UK without restrictions and must undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS).

What We're Looking For:

  • Competent IT skills to support data analysis and produce reports, intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VBA and Power Query if possible), Tableau or Power BI, Wrike or Microsoft Project.

  • Understanding & awareness of parts tracking via GPIRS / SAP or similar systems to control the Bill of Materials.

  • Proficient communication and organisation skills to work with multiple simultaneous tasks

  • Experience in a planning and parts environment would be desirable.

  • Excellent stakeholder management & Problem solving skills

  • Data driven, with experience with excel reports, reporting data from multiple sources using formulas, pivot tables and charts.

  • Educational Background on Data Analytics, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics or Administration.

  • Intermediate to Advanced Skills on excel (For e.g. VBA, Power Query, Custom Functions)

  • Business Intelligence Knowledge, capable of producing dashboards from scratch and maintaining them to ensure the data is accurate (Power BI, Tableau or any other similar tool would be advantageous)

  • Project Planning software skills & experience, such as Microsoft Project, Oracle P6, Wrike or a similar tool.

  • Candidates Must possess a valid driving licence as occasional travel to other sites may be required
