Billing Manager

Our client, a leading name in the communications industry, is looking for a seasoned Billing Manager with proven experience in the telecom sector. This role is essential for overseeing and optimising their telecom billing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high standards of service. The successful candidate will manage daily billing processes and drive operational improvements across data management, reporting, and customer support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing Operations Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end telecom billing cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using the aBillity billing platform.

  • Manage billing data integrity, customer usage monitoring, and imports from billing suppliers to align with business needs.

    Data Analytics and Reporting:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare and enhance regular reports for management, including monthly summaries and commission reports.

  • Improve data accessibility and streamline reporting processes to support company-wide data initiatives.

    Customer Service and Collaboration:

  • Function as a point of contact for resolving billing inquiries and disputes, working closely with sales and support teams.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, collaborating with Credit Control to secure timely payments and address outstanding issues.

    Compliance and Process Improvement:

  • Ensure all billing activities adhere to industry regulations and company standards.

  • Establish and maintain billing controls to prevent errors, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational risk.

  • Review and refine existing processes to simplify and standardize workflows for greater productivity.

    Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a team of billing specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Provide training and guidance on billing processes, perform regular performance reviews, and set clear team objectives.

  • Collaborate with finance teams to streamline billing and collection processes, promoting teamwork across departments.

    Required Experience and Skills:

  • Significant experience in billing management within the telecom industry—this is essential.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills, with an eye for process improvement.

  • Excellent communication abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.

  • Familiarity with the aBillity billing platform is a plus.

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
