BI Analyst | Engineering | up to £55,000 + Car Scheme | Barnsley 

Are you a data-driven problem solver with a knack for turning business needs into smart, practical digital tools?
We’re looking for either a BI Analyst or a Data focused Business Analyst to join a well-established organisation in the engineering and infrastructure space. This is a great opportunity to help a business embrace modern digital solutions, using tools from the Microsoft Power Platform to streamline processes and improve decision-making.

About the Role:

As a BI Analyst, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand their challenges and identify where technology can make a difference. You’ll be instrumental in delivering smart, user-focused digital solutions — from dashboards and workflow automation to full Power Apps — that reduce manual effort, improve reporting, and support operational efficiency.

You’ll play a key role in driving digital adoption and delivering process improvements across the business. Day-to-day, you’ll:

Analyse and document business requirements, processes, and user stories
Design and implement digital solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
Build and support tools that enhance commercial, financial and operational reporting
Develop ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ process maps and assist with user training and documentation
Lead small-scale digital projects and contribute to larger transformation initiatives
Collaborate with both IT and business teams to support the rollout of new systems
Promote digital best practices and help define BI and reporting strategiesWhat We’re Looking For:
Strong experience in a BI, business analyst, or digital applications role
Knowledge / Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps would be beneficial
Able to gather and translate requirements into usable, efficient digital tools
Comfortable working with both business and IT teams to deliver solutions
Experience working in Agile or fast-paced collaborative environments
Business analysis experience would be a real bonusDesirable (Nice to Have):

Experience with ERP systems and commercial/financial reporting
Exposure to ITIL practices
Practitioner-level BA certifications (e.g. BCS Practitioner)
Background in digital transformation or continuous improvement projects

Package up to £55,000 + Car Scheme 
Ideally 4 days a week onsite with 1 day work from home. Maybe flexible for the right person 
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)
