Azure Data Engineer

We’re looking for an experiencedAzure Data Engineerto support one of our clients in driving innovation and business objectives within the company.

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £450 - £500 (Outside IR35)

Duration: 6-months

Location: Northampton (Hybrid)

Are you ready to drive a major data transformation? We’re looking for an Azure Data Engineer to modernise our clients legacy systems, laying the foundation for automation, decision engines, and seamless API integrations. This role is key to moving our client into an Azure-driven future, creating a "single source of truth" and setting up a robust, scalable data infrastructure for upcoming strategic projects.

You’ll take ownership of the roadmap and work closely with the technology team to transform the data landscape, sharing your expertise along the way. We’re looking for someone who’s capable of leading this transformation and setting us up for success in the exciting journey ahead

Key Skills We’re Looking For:

• Proven experiencein Azure development, with a strong understanding of designing, developing, and deploying scalable Azure-based solutions.
• Proficiencyin implementing and customising Azure services like Azure Functions, Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Hands-on expertisein building and managing ARM templates, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps processes to streamline development and deployment.
• Strong analytical skillswith a background in data visualisation and reporting, ideally using Power BI, to create impactful, user-focused dashboards and insights.
• Solid knowledgeof DevOps practices and tools to optimise infrastructure, enhance system reliability, and support ongoing development needs.

Preferred:

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerisation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
