Azure Cloud Data Architect up to £80,000 Fixed Term Contract

My client is a nationally recognized charity in the UK. They are seeking an Azure Cloud Data Architect for a 12-month fixed-term contract with the strong potential for extension or permanent placement. They are in the early stages of a cloud transformation program, aiming to migrate all legacy systems to Azure or SaaS platforms provided by vendors. Their current data warehouse (on-premises) supports numerous pipelines and processes, and continues to grow, remaining central to their operations. They need a strategic, hands-on Azure Data Architect to:

  • Design a roadmap for cloud migration and platform modernization
  • Advise on best practices for security, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Assist in re-platforming their data warehouse and analytics solutions for the cloud
  • Ensure a scalable, future-proof foundation for data services across the charity

Salary

This role offers a competitive salary package of up to £80,000, with 6% pension and 25 days annual leave. The client indicates a strong likelihood of contract extension or transition to a permanent role.

Location

Fully remote, with occasional travel to London or Northampton (less than once every other month). Travel expenses are covered, including rail, hotel, taxi bookings, and mileage at government rates.
