Albany Beck are hiring for an Axiom Developer to join our team to work with a leading Investment Bank based in London on a long-term Axiom implementation programme.


The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AxiomSL, as well as solid knowledge of Java, ETL processes, and Oracle databases. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting the bank's regulatory reporting platform, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of AxiomSL solutions for regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Integrate and maintain AxiomSL systems with various data sources using ETL tools.
  • Perform data mapping, data analysis, and configuration using Axiom ControllerView.
  • Build and enhance existing reports and workflows, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Develop customizations and extensions using Java and Oracle PL/SQL as needed.
  • Perform unit testing and support system integration testing.
  • Provide technical expertise for resolving issues and ensuring smooth operation of Axiom systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to ensure the successful delivery of the project.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience with AxiomSL ControllerView and its implementation within the financial services sector.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks and processes.
  • Proficiency in Java development, with hands-on experience in writing and maintaining custom code.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration technologies.
  • Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data architecture in banking or financial institutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in investment banking or financial services.
  • Exposure to other regulatory reporting tools or platforms.
  • Understanding of financial regulations such as Basel III, IFRS, CRD IV, or similar.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
