Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect – DV Cleared

Salary: £100,000

Role Summary:

Are you a senior SC Cleared hands-on Engineer/ Architect with a strong background in delivering AWS cloud platforms in the public sector?

Sentinel is working with a Top-Tier AWS Partner Consultancy, who delivers secure and scalable cloud infrastructure to a range of public sector clients.

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud architecture, development, and deployment, with a proven ability to lead technical projects with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust cloud architectures on the AWS platform, leveraging best practices and industry standards.

• Develop and deploy AWS infrastructure using tools such as CDK or Terraform.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline development and deployment processes using GitLab.

• Work effectively in an Agile environment, contributing to a collaborative and productive team culture.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and more.

• Expertise in AWS development and deployment tools, such as CDK or Terraform.

• Proven ability to lead technical projects with minimal supervision.

• Experience working in an Agile or similar development methodology.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Security Clearance: DV (or SC with agreement for DV) is mandatory.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).

• Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
