Up to £500/day (Inside IR35)

SC Clearance Required

A leading defence organisation is seeking an experienced Availability Manager to join its Service Management function. You'll be responsible for ensuring platform availability and capacity, driving continuous service improvement, and supporting key ITIL practices including Capacity, Availability, SACM, ITSCM, and Service Level Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain ITIL 4-aligned Availability and Capacity Management practices
Analyse performance trends and produce availability metrics
Identify and implement service improvement opportunities
Collaborate with technical teams to meet performance targets
Support risk mitigation and resilience planning

Essential Skills:

Strong background in availability/capacity management in ITIL environments
Proficiency with performance monitoring and reporting tools
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud platforms
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
SC clearance

Desirable:

Experience with MoD service environments
ITIL 4 certification (especially High Velocity IT or Drive Stakeholder Value)
