This tier-one Ivy League hedge fund with $50+b AUM and a 25+ year track record of delivering exceptional risk-adjusted returns for investors is looking for an associate-level Data/Software Engineer to join the investment risk team. PLEASE read the description and requirements before applying.

You will work in the investment risk team and support their technological data needs by designing, developing, and implementing complex data pipelines and real-time analytics applications. You will be educating the team on engineering best practices and solutions. You will help the team evolve their risk system for real-time processing and scale-out and improve its reliability and monitoring. Their technical stack includes Python/Rust/Java, SQL, DBT, Kafka, Flink, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Airflow, and Snowflake.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of commercial experience obtained at a high-quality team at an investment bank, hedge fund or prop trader. Maximum two jobs during this time.
- Passionate about programming, data, and distributed systems. Demonstrable experience developing complex data pipelines and systems for trading, sales, research, or risk teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable in their skin. Can work directly with business stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- You should be dedicated to continuous learning, and you can give examples of your desire for knowledge.
- Passion for problem-solving with a proactive curiosity. Demonstrable experience investigating and solving complex technology issues.
- Excellent Computer Science or Engineering academics. 1st Class or 2.1 Hons from a tier one University.
Offer
Starting base salary between £100,000 - £150,000
Discretionary annual bonus: 50% - 100%
