About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork to help us meet our clients’ needs.

About You:

Candidates should possess prior experience with projects in urban drainage settings, along with proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and relevant GIS software.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the capacity to seamlessly integrate into a team dynamic. Additionally, they will have the chance to cultivate their skills as a mentor and offer technical guidance to other modeling personnel, showcasing leadership in urban drainage contexts while prioritising exceptional client service.

Your Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and calibrating hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM. Participate in data collection, management, and analysis for various wastewater projects. Contribute to preparing technical reports, presentations, and project documentation. Support the development of solutions to manage urban drainage, improve water quality, and control pollution. Provide technical support to clients, addressing their inquiries and feedback. Stay updated with industry best practices, standards, and new technologies in wastewater modelling to foster innovation. Engage in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling processes and methodologies.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Relevant experience in the water industry. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is expected. Knowledge of modelling software (InfoWorks ICM) and GIS systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS). Skilled in manipulating, handling, and analysing large datasets. Experience with bespoke software and programming such as FME, Visual Basic, and Power BI is beneficial. A general understanding of and interest in the UK water industry. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Preferably degree qualified in a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
