Assistant Principal – SEND and Inclusion Location: Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Salary: £57,000 – £74,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a driven and forward-thinking Assistant Principal – SEND and Inclusion based in North Somerset. This senior role offers the chance to lead the strategic direction of SEND and inclusive learning within an educational environment committed to continuous improvement and positive outcomes for all learners.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and lead a clear vision for inclusive education and SEND support, ensuring cohesive delivery across departments.
Team Development: Inspire and manage high-performing teams, embedding accountability and shared goals to deliver excellent learner experiences.
Compliance & Innovation: Ensure full alignment with SEND legislation and statutory requirements, while introducing creative and effective models of support.
Curriculum Oversight: Guide Heads of Area and specialist staff to provide consistent, high-quality curriculum provision across the organisation.
Financial Management: Provide expert advice on SEND-related funding, budgets, and data quality. Prepare accurate reports and ensure best value through strategic planning and negotiation.
Inclusive Culture: Promote an environment where inclusion is embedded in all aspects of delivery, collaborating with staff and external partners to remove barriers to learning.What We’re Looking For
A degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
A professional qualification in SEND or a related field.
Proven experience working within an educational setting with a strong track record of improving outcomes for learners with additional needs.
In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, inclusive education practices, and funding frameworks.
Strong understanding of current research and policy developments in SEND and inclusion.
