We are seeking an accomplished and strategic IT leader to join our organisation as Assistant Group Head of IT. This high-impact role will support the Group’s IT infrastructure and strategy across multiple sites, ensuring operational excellence, system security, and the delivery of innovative technology solutions that drive business growth and efficiency.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge in Supply Chain and business operations and the ability to liaise with and manage key business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Strategy and Planning: Assist in developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the business goals of the Group.

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of IT infrastructure across sites, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security of IT systems and data and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Business Applications: Ensure we continue to improve the use of our key business applications such as Prophet and our Business Intelligence apps

  • Project Management: Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.

  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to procure and manage IT services and products.

  • Data Analytics: Utilise big data quality analytics to inform IT decisions and support business intelligence initiatives.

  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide high-level support for IT issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Budget Management: Experience in managing large budgets

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in IT management, preferably within the FMCG or Fresh Produce or similar sectors. Ideally a background in hyper-growth environments

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, SQL, Exchange, Terminal Server/Citrix

  • Good understanding of databases, ERP systems, data analytics and business intelligence tools

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Significant experience of both M&As, and leading post-merger IT system integrations

  • Excellent commercial and business skills

  • Proficiency in project management and vendor management.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
