We're currently supporting Two Rivers Housing with the appointment of a new Assistant Director of Data and Technology.

Two Rivers Housing are a community-based social housing provider, initially formed as 'Forest of Dean Housing' in 2003, it now manages around 4,600 homes across the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and the surrounding area.

Its homes are a mix of modern and traditional properties, which are available for affordable and social rent, Shared Ownership. They also provide supported living for elderly and vulnerable people and a range of other services.

As an Assistant Director for Two Rivers Housing, you will be responsible for creating a culture that puts the customer at the centre of all decisions and supporting the delivery of the corporate strategy through leading the digital, technology and data strategy. This role involves leading data management initiatives, overseeing technology operations, and coordinating the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, motivate, develop and empower the IT, and data team to deliver an efficient, effective, high quality, customer focused service.
Be the strategic lead for development and implementation and evaluation of an innovative Technology and Data strategy.
Alongside our Operational teams, support and lead on digital transformation and continuous improvement of all services to deliver an enhanced customer experience.
Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement in the data and technology domain.
Evaluate and advise on emerging technologies and trends that will benefit Two Rivers and its customers.
Work closely with teams to identify opportunities for data analysis and optimisation.
Ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met while delivering high-quality solutions.
Oversee data and technology initiatives from inception through to deployment and evaluation.
Manage partner relationships with external suppliers to deliver mutually beneficial business relationships that will be sustainable for the longer term.
Determine the long-term investment requirement for IT and develop annual budget requirements and long-term business plans to deliver the necessary investment.
Ensure the organisation has an effective IT disaster recovery plan in place which is regularly tested.
Develop and maintain effective cyber security arrangements to ensure Two Rivers and its assets remain secure and consistent with industry regulations.Person Specification

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field, along with evidence of continued professional development.
Effective strategic planning with the ability to ensure that strategies and plans contribute to the delivery of the vision and purpose of the organisation.
Demonstrable experience of leadership and vision in managing major IT projects or initiatives.
Significant experience of working in a senior management team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience of managing teams to meet stakeholder need and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Experience of delivering a strategy through the use of emerging technology.
Experience of project management, data interpretation and application to measuring outcomes
Strong understanding of data governance, privacy laws, and compliance requirements.
Experience with data management systems, cloud technologies, and analytics tools.
Excellent working knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms (Desirable)

Salary of £80,000 per annum.
