£80,000 - £90,000

Role Overview:

Our client is a leading organisation in Sheffield and is seeking a Digital Architect to support their application and data transformation. Backed by significant investment and operating in a mission-critical environment, they're embarking on a large-scale application consolidation programme - and need a pragmatic, hands-on Digital Architect to help define what the future looks like.

This role is ideal if you're looking for a hands-on position with a large influence. You'll be in the thick of it from day one: working alongside consultants, mapping the "as-is" landscape, and leading the design of an application and data architecture that's fit for a modern enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the application and data architecture design effort
Working with stakeholders to understand how business processes should work
Mapping systems and integrations, consolidating where possible
Supporting data modelling and feeding into Power BI reporting strategies
Advising on technology direction
Manage 3rd party vendors
Getting hands-on when needed - whether in code, bug fixes or documentation

What we're looking for:

Strong background in digital / application architecture
Broad application knowledge - from ERP, PLM, CRM etc.
Understanding of a complex on-prem environment
Understanding of modern data modelling principles and tools
Experience in complex, customised application environments
Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack
Awareness of cybersecurity considerations in system design
Comfortable working independently and influencing from day one
