What you'll do

As an Analytics Engineer at our 150-year-old retail chain, you will play a vital role in our data-driven transformation journey. Your typical day will involve writing efficient SQL queries, drawing out domain models to identify complex data relationships, collaborating with your team to solve challenging problems, fine-tuning queries through pair programming, engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs, and building strong relationships with colleagues by mentoring and sharing knowledge. Working closely with Data Architects, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Data Engineers, you will use your expertise to deliver robust data products that enable data-informed decision making. Your passion for data, strong analytical skills, SQL proficiency, and adherence to core Software Engineering principles, such as automated testing and Git version control, will contribute to our ongoing success. Additionally, your curiosity, willingness to learn, sense of ownership, and openness to collaboration will drive our culture of innovation. As an Analytics Engineer at Sainsbury's, you are a Tech professional with a passion for data and a strong background in roles such as Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Data Scientist. With your expertise in SQL and core Software Engineering principles, you excel at writing complex queries, building robust data products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This increases to 15% off at Sainsbury's every Friday and Saturday and 15% off at Argos every pay day. We've also got you covered for your future with our pensions scheme and life cover. You'll also be able to share in our success as you may be eligible for a performance-related bonus of up to 10% of salary, depending on how we perform.
