Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s business and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

You will work within the Global Strategic Analytics Team and lead a global model strategy and deployment of Name List Screening (NLS) and Transaction Screening (TS). To be successful in that role, you are familiar with the most recent data science methodologies and have a delivery-centric attitude, strong analytical skills, and a detail-oriented approach to breaking down complex matters into more understandable details. You will work in a collaborative global team and focus on people development and career growth.

Your key responsibilities

Responsible for the defining and executing the regional model framework for transaction monitoring including coverage, data, model development and optimisation and ensure the regional model strategy is aligned with global strategy Manage a global team of 15 to 20 modelers and data scientists in the development, tuning, and optimisation of financial crime screening models Ensure monitoring systems and scenarios adhere to all model governance standards and that detailed metrics & reporting are developed to provide transparency and maintain effectiveness of models Identify and assess new and emerging technologies that can be used to enhance the Bank’s detection, through internal or vendor solutions Represent the function in regulatory discussions, audits, and internal committees. Travel likely to be required

Your skills and experience

Previous relevant experience in financial services, plus experience in a model development or quantitative risk leadership role Recent and relevant hands-on experience utilising state of the art Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, preferably with experience in a regulatory enforcement environment Deep expertise in screening processes (NLS and TS), including hands-on experience with Actimize, Fircosoft, or equivalent platforms Strong command of model development languages and tools (such as Python, SQL, R) Familiarity with machine learning techniques in the context of tuning or anomaly detection is a plus Solid understanding of sanctions screening, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) risk typologies, and financial crime regulations
