The Role and Team

We're looking for a Senior Growth Data Scientist to help Fullscript understand how and where to invest in growth. You'll focus on our top‑of‑funnel marketing analytics, working with experts across Marketing and Growth to uncover what drives acquisition, efficiency, and long‑term practitioner engagement. Your job will be turning complex marketing data into clear insights that guide smarter decisions. You'll identify which channels and campaigns work, which don't, and where every dollar delivers the greatest impact. You'll play a key role in helping us reduce the cost of acquiring new practitioners and defining the KPIs that measure what success truly looks like.

This is a strategic, hands‑on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, business, and digital marketing. You'll work closely with marketing leaders and senior stakeholders who know their craft (and expect you to know yours). You'll act as both analyst and consultant, taking business requirements, refining them into the right questions, and coming to the table ready to advise, challenge, and guide direction as an expert. Your work will shape how Fullscript invests in growth, improves conversion efficiency, optimizes paid channels, and models key metrics like CAC and LTV to pinpoint the actions that drive lasting engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze top‑of‑funnel marketing performance across channels such as Google Ads, Meta, and other digital platforms.
  • Build frameworks that connect marketing spend to downstream results like acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Model Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and practitioner growth metrics to guide investment.
  • Develop experiments, hypothesis tests, and attribution models to measure campaign impact.
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to define the right KPIs and reporting structures.
  • Perform segmentation, clustering, and behavioral analysis to identify high‑value customer groups.
  • Demonstrate experience building and leveraging multi‑attribution models, MMMs, and incrementality testing.
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders, translating technical results into clear recommendations that influence strategy.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics or data science with measurable business impact.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
  • Experience working with Snowflake, DataBricks, BigQuery, or a comparable data warehouse.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Background in A/B testing, statistical modeling, clustering, and hypothesis testing.
  • Ability to balance technical analysis with commercial understanding and business judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience consulting and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to frame the right questions, define metrics, and recommend actions with confidence.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience in SaaS, eCommerce, or tech‑driven growth environments.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other BI tools.
  • Background in predictive modeling, sentiment analysis, or Bayesian methods.
  • Experience connecting marketing insights to broader company performance metrics such as ROI or contribution margin.

What We Offer

  • Flexible PTO & competitive pay.
  • RRSP match (CAD) // 401K match (US) & stock options.
  • Customizable benefits – flexible coverage, paramedical services, and an HSA.

Flexible Benefits Package And Additional Perks

This guide explains what’s changed, what to expect in interviews & how to prepare—especially for product/data scientists, applied ML scientists, decision scientists, econometricians, growth/marketing analysts, and ML‑adjacent data scientists supporting LLM/AI products. Who this is for: Product/decision/data scientists, applied ML scientists, econometrics & causal inference specialists, experimentation leads, analytics engineers crossing into DS, ML generalists with strong statistics, and data scientists collaborating with platform/MLOps teams in the UK.

Why Data Science Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Data science once meant advanced statistics, machine learning models and coding in Python or R. In the UK today, it has become one of the most in-demand professions across sectors — from healthcare to finance, retail to government. But as the field matures, employers now expect more than technical modelling skills. Modern data science is multidisciplinary. It requires not just coding and algorithms, but also legal knowledge, ethical reasoning, psychological insight, linguistic clarity and human-centred design. Data scientists are expected to interpret, communicate and apply data responsibly, with awareness of law, human behaviour and accessibility. In this article, we’ll explore why data science careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how these five disciplines intersect with data science, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to succeed in this transformed field.

Data Science Team Structures Explained: Who Does What in a Modern Data Science Department

Data science is one of the most in-demand, dynamic, and multidisciplinary areas in the UK tech and business landscape. Organisations from finance, retail, health, government, and beyond are using data to drive decisions, automate processes, personalise services, predict trends, detect fraud, and more. To do that well, companies don’t just need good data scientists; they need teams with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, workflows, collaboration, and governance. If you're aiming for a role in data science or recruiting for one, understanding the structure of a data science department—and who does what—can make all the difference. This article breaks down the key roles, how they interact across the lifecycle of a data science project, what skills and qualifications are typical in the UK, expected salary ranges, challenges, trends, and how to build or grow an effective team.
