Puma Investments are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Operations team in London.


Puma Investments raises funds from a variety of sources including wealth managers and IFAs from the very large including SJP, Barclays Wealth, Evelyn Partners, and Cazenove, through regional players to the very small independents, from execution-only brokers and from HNWs. We also work with leading wrap platforms including Fidelity, Aberdeen, M&G and Transact.


Within this role, you will play a pivotal role in helping to shape our data strategy.


The Senior Data Analyst will lead on designing and delivering data solutions while remaining hands-on with development, demonstrating effective project management capabilities and the ability to juggle multiple priorities successfully. This role requires strong expertise in developing robust data solutions and interactive dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs and data interfaces, ensuring seamless integration across systems.


This role offers a pathway to a future leadership position, with the potential to manage the team as the function expands. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the entire Puma Capital Group, ensuring our data infrastructure, reporting capabilities and integration processes support business growth and operational excellence.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for data strategy, advising senior leadership on best practices, emerging technologies, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Lead complex data transformation initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the development of existing and new advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Assume ownership of data within Microsoft Dynamics 365, including cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Design scalable data models and implement robust ETL processes. Develop and maintain APIs and data interfaces to enhance system connectivity.
  • Ownership of the Data team ticketing system, to track and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective, user-focused solutions.
  • Champion data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with FCA, GDPR, and internal security protocols.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation with data maps and dictionaries, to ensure robust, secure, and well-documented data flows
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in analytics, BI tools, and data engineering, applying insights to enhance Puma’s data capabilities.


Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in data analytics or engineering, within the financial services sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including marketing and sales modules).
  • Demonstrable full-stack development skills in SQL, Turbo C and Python, with proven experience in API development and data integration.
  • Experience designing scalable data architectures and ETL pipelines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects successfully.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable understanding of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
  • Experience mentoring others and a desire to progress into a team leadership role.
  • High attention to detail, proactive approach, and experience working with external development partners is advantageous.
