Job Overview

In this role you'll work closely with the international Data Strategy & Data Transformation team helping support the implementation of data practices throughout the business and help to develop good governance and management of data and data projects within MBDA. As an undergraduate, you'll experience a 1‑year placement that provides a broad understanding of data in an international environment, assists your learning of the business functional areas and develops key change‑management skills to contribute to the delivery of the international data strategy. This role is ideal for those looking to work on a wide variety of data‑related tasks and activities on a daily basis. With support and mentorship from a skilled and experienced data team, we will provide practical training to develop your skills in understanding data strategy and business application of data practices, presenting and communicating in different forums, building and maintaining relationships within the business and with external partners, and analysing business challenges to positively influence business decisions.


The Data Strategy & Data Transformation team sits within our Transformation and Improvement team at MBDA. This team is involved in major projects that help our international business achieve operational excellence and prepare for the future.


Responsibilities

  • Understand data strategy and business application of data practices and projects.
  • Present and communicate in different forums.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the business and with external partners.
  • Analyse business challenges and positively influence business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Currently working towards a degree in Business Computing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics or Business & Management Studies.
  • 1‑year undergraduate placement in an international environment.
  • British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship; must undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

Compensation & Working Arrangements

  • Salary: £23,495 Dynamic (Hybrid).
  • Working: 2 days per week on‑site due to workload classification.
  • Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
