In this role you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure that power Bupa Health Services’ data platforms and analytics capabilities.


You’ll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into structured, machine learning-ready formats, ensuring data quality, consistency and performance across systems.


How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Ingest data from a variety of sources and transform data from raw to organised
  • Develop data pipelines to facilitate Bupa Health Services data platforms
  • Participate in the design, creation and development of data engineering initiatives to transform the data and information landscape at Bupa Health Services
  • Collaborate with data scientists to design and implement reusable feature stores or feature pipelines
  • Design, optimise and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures and database schemas to support high-performance applications
  • Structuring data outputs to be ML-ready and monitoring data drift and schema changes that could impact model performance

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Expert level SQL proficiency and Python fluency
  • Experience in Azure technologies and Snowflake
  • Proficient in handling data from diverse sources such as flat files, APIs and databases using ETL/ELT methodologies for efficient data processing
  • Creating data pipelines from scratch along the entire data chain: implementing data load patterns, error-handling and automated procedures
  • Solid understanding of modern EDW cloud tools, techniques, and best practices
  • Strategic and forward-thinking approach to data engineering, with the ability to envision and advocate for long-term, scalable solutions.
  • Experience with Power BI and ability to design and develop interactive dashboards
  • Proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub for building scalable, cloud-native data pipelines
